Board books are often likened to a children’s book where each page is board, construction can vary on your specification. Unlike a typical paper book that is bound with either sewing or layflat, board book pages are specially folded and bound together ‘back-to-back’ either with printed paper mounted to board or printed directly onto board weight such as ‘Trucard’. Board books are very durable, they are commonly used for children’s books however we have produced this style of binding for many high end companies such as the Israel Museum and limited edition pieces for art galleries.
Cut flush books are designed to have the cover board and/or covering materials, level with the text block, the board and covering material will not have turned in edges and will be exposed.
